This shows the WiNRADiO G69DDC making a 20 MHz wide recording of the VHF broadcast band, one minute long.
When the recording is opened in the WiNRADiO Universal Recordings Player, the file can be seen as 5.6 GB in size.
The recording can be played back and viewed as a spectrum or a waterfall.
Select the target signal on the waterfall, this can be achieved by dragging the mouse of specifying the time, shift and bandwidth. Next click on the Extract button and choose a location for the file.
The resulting extracted file of a section of the target signal is much smaller, so can be more easily transported (96MB rather than 5.9GB).
The extracted file can then be played back using the standard WiNRADiO application for receivers such as the G39DDC. The audio can be monitored, and its spectrum and waterfall viewed for analytical study.
