WiNRADiO Universal Recordings Player

The WiNRADiO Universal Recordings Player is a software tool for off-line analysis, editing, and conversion of files recorded by WiNRADiO applications. It includes advanced features like spectrum editing of the I/Q data, which is particularly useful for detailed signal analysis and extracting narrow-band sections from large wide-band recordings. This capability enhances the analysis and manipulation of recorded data.

  • Supports WiNRADiO formats (RXW, WWV)
  • Supports standard Windows WAV format and DDC format
  • Compact / Multiple user interface options
  • Displays spectrum or waterfall of recordings
  • Supports recording metadata
  • Demodulates DDC recordings (traditional modes)
  • Spectrum extraction - support for bandwidths used by WiNRADiO DDC receivers
  • Export - file format conversion

Targets can be identified and extracted, resulting in smaller files that are easier to transport for post-analysis. The application supports proprietary WiNRADiO formats RXW and WWV, standard Windows wave WAV format, and DDC format (DDC streamed in the WAV file format). Supported extraction bandwidths align with those used by WiNRADiO DDC applications.

Extracted recordings can be played back in DDC receiver applications, such as WiNRADiO G39DDC or WiNRADiO G69DDC. The WiNRADiO Universal Recordings Player also supports demodulation of recordings in traditional modes including AM, AMS, LSB, USB, DSB, ISB, CW, FMN, FMW, FSK, and UDM (User Definable Mode).
